ACCESS TO OUR COFFEESHOP

In Maastricht, the residency criterion applies to all coffeeshops. This means that only individuals who live or study in the Netherlands are allowed access.

✅ You must be at least 18 years old and present a valid ID upon entry. Photos or expired documents are not accepted.

You can enter with one of the following Dutch documents:

  • Passport

  • Dutch national ID card

  • Dutch driver’s license

  • Diplomatic passport

  • Refugee or foreigner (W) document

🔎 Do you have a foreign ID? You’ll also need to show proof that you live or study in the Netherlands, such as:

  • A BRP registration extract (from your Dutch municipality)

  • A valid student card from a Dutch educational institution

Extract of the Municipal Personal Records (BRP)

An extract from the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP) (not older than 2 years), obtainable from the municipality where you reside and are registered. You may also photograph and store this extract on your phone.

Online by Logging in with your DigId

Logging into “mijn overheid” (my government) on your phone using Digi-D.

1. Ga naar www.mijn.overheid.nl

Go to www.mijn.overheid.nl

2. Klik op Inloggen met DigiD

Click “Log in with DigiD”

3. Kies je methode om in te loggen:

Choose your login method:

  • Met de DigiD app 📲
  • Met gebruikersnaam + wachtwoord + sms-code
  • Met ID-check via NFC-chip (indien vereist)

4. Eenmaal ingelogd, klik op:

Once logged in, go to:

  • Persoonlijke gegevens (onder “Mijn gegevens”)
  • Kies daar: Basisregistratie Personen (BRP)
  • Je ziet hier jouw officiële adres en woonplaats
  • Go to: Personal data > BRP (Personal Records Database) > See your registered address

Student-card and proof of registration

A student card in combination with proof of registration to demonstrate that you are still studying in the Netherlands. During the transition period of the new academic year (August-September), a combination of a student card and registration proof (email, app) is also accepted.
